In a world of alchemy, airships, swords and firearms, there are many secrets. Secrets to fight for and some to die for. Factions battle for supremacy and control, as wars rage on all around them. Some are so caught up in the political squabbling that they forget the imminent dangers around them; for you see, all is not well. Carmine is circled by a veil of mist that seemingly protects the world from an all-consuming void. Terrible monsters and half-humans emerge from the darkness to wreak havoc on the general populous. Is Carmine the last bastion of humanity or do other worlds exist beyond the void? This and many questions remain unanswered. Will you be the one to uncover the mysteries of the world or will you fall to its many dangers?
Carmine is a non OGL D20 system with an ever changing and growing setting that can meet the needs of most RPG fans. High fantasy, steam punk, horror and espionage merge in a single setting. The creators of Carmine have set the goal of building an in depth world that is open to many styles of role players and supports a multitude of genres. At the current time within Carmine the main settings are Endilay - A city founded on alchemy, the technology is advanced for the world, but still pretty rudimentary (very steam punk). Legion Territory - A mideival setting with a war mongering leader and a vast army that ranges from full plate guardians, to light armored riflemen. Amaranth - A desert city of assassins and intrigue. The Pirate Nation - Contrary to the name the members are neither pirates nor do they have any land of their own. They are a group of airship captains who spend most of their time in the air, trading and acting as transports between major areas.
Carmine intends to make its stand in the land of RPGs as an immersive world, with continued content release, a growing world, player support and a relatively quick combat structure.
